Hyperlipidemia

You need cholesterol. It's what keeps the lining of your cells waterproof. But an excess of cholesterol in the blood (hyperlipidemia) can increase the risk of your arteries hardening and stiffening (thus creating the right conditions for hypertension) and can lead to life-threatening disease such as coronary artery disease, heart attack, and/or stroke.

Eating a lot of cholesterol rich and/or foods high in saturated fats, having a genetic predisposition this can cause hyperlipidemia. The true fix for this is not acupuncture and herbs. Those buy a patient time to get their lifestyle and diet under control. Many patients will prefer to just take a pill and "fix" this, but the pharmaceutical treatments come with a very high health price for many people. Side effects for these pharmaceutical interventions are more and more alarming.

Acupuncture Protocol Suggestions

  • Left Side: Xia San Huang, St 36, St 37, St 40

  • Right Side: Huo Ying and Huo Zhu, Lv 6,* Gb 34, Gb 39 *Master Tung's Liver 6 is not needled on the bone, but right next to the margin of the tibia. Use your fingernail to palpate for the margin of the bone and slide that needle right next to the bone.

This protocol increases metabolism and the ability to process fats. It also relaxes the patient so they don't stroke out.

I'm a digital nomad. I live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico at the moment. If you are in town and wanna have a lovely beverage, give me a shout! But it's a Mexican cell phone number, so I'd recommend using WhatsApp.
