Instructor: Dr. Qiu
Class notes and study materials are included below where available. I have been asked by the faculty and staff at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine to remove links to the faculty handouts as of 1/30/2012.
This is nutrition from a TCM perspective, not a western persepective.
- Class 1
Sorry, folks. Missed this class, but here are Dr. Qiu's handouts from the first day.
- Class 3
Functions of different types of foods.
Class 3 and 4 handout - a handy chart categorizing foods by temperature (hot, warm, neutral, cool, cold) and function (i.e., regulate blood, reduce phlegm, drain damp, etc.)
- Class 4
More about the functions of foods. See the previous class handout.
- Class 6 - 10
Took notes on the handouts which were mostly Class 3-5 handouts. We wrote and presented papers in this class, so for several classes there were really no notes to take. My paper is available below.
Class 11 was The Feast and Class 12 was the final, which was open note.
